Pay with Mobicred at Shoebox
Mobicred is a digital credit facility that allows you to shop online and repay your balance over time. If you already have a Mobicred account, you can select it as your payment method at checkout. If not, you can apply online.
If approved, you may receive a credit limit of up to R50,000. Applications are completed online and approval is typically provided within minutes, subject to automated income verification and acceptance of the pre-agreement. Terms and conditions apply.
How to Pay with Mobicred
- Add to cart: Shop as usual on shoebox.co.za and proceed to checkout.
- Select Mobicred: Choose Mobicred via PayGate as your payment method.
- Sign in: Log in using your Mobicred username and password.
- Verify your payment: Enter the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your registered mobile number to complete the transaction.
- Order confirmation: Once payment is approved, your order will be processed and dispatched as normal.
Repayments
Your Mobicred balance is repaid via monthly debit order. The minimum monthly repayment is 10% of your outstanding balance plus applicable fees.
You may pay more than the minimum amount at any time. Early settlement via additional EFT payments does not attract additional settlement fees.
Eligibility Requirements
All applications are subject to credit and affordability assessments. To apply, you must:
- Be 18 years or older
- Have a valid South African ID
- Have a valid South African mobile number and email address
- Have a South African bank account in your own name

- Mobicred is a 100% digital facility. No physical card is issued.
- In-store payments are accepted only at selected retailers.
- Mobicred is powered by RCS Cards, a registered Credit and authorised Financial Services Provider (NCRCP 38/FSP 44481).
